Hey everyone!
In case you don't know me, my name is Miranda Marchese. I'm 17 years old and I'm currently a senior at Irondequoit High School in Rochester, NY. I'm using this blog to document my senior year, with an emphasis on the college application process and how all that goes. Currently, the colleges I am looking at are:
NYU
Boston University
Emerson College
Ohio Wesleyan University
SUNY Purchase
I'm also thinking of *maybe* adding 1 more school to that list- possibly Carnegie Mellon or another SUNY. In college, I'm looking to major in English or Creative Writing. I haven't started applying to schools yet, but I want to apply to all of them by Thanksgiving. I've also applied for several scholarship, most of them using Fastweb, which is awesome. I'm also a regular listener of the Financial Aid Podcast- Chris, if you're reading this, hi! I got this idea after listening to his podcast today. Since one of my strengths is writing, I want to write all about my senior year. I also have a Livejournal for the frivolous stuff in my life, and a Facebook. My other strengths are playing the viola, singing (though I'm not good enough at either to major in music), being a leader for my youth group, and an editor of my school newspaper. So, this is my first entry. Hopefully the next one will have more substance.
